Shaykh Abdullah Ayaz Mullanee was born in Karachi, Pakistan and raised in Toronto, Canada. After high school, he enrolled in the seven-year Alim program at the highly esteemed Darul Uloom Zakariyya in Johannesburg, South Africa. He studied Fiqh and Hadith under the likes of Mufti Radhaul Haq, Moulana Sulaiman Choksi, Mufti Muhammed Ali, and Tafsir under the instruction of the world renowned speaker Moulana Sulaiman Moola. During his stay there, he was taken under the wing of Mawlana Abdul Quddoos al-Qasmi to Specialize in Arabic Language. Under his guidance, he received additional training in Arabic literature, translation, and oration. As a student, he was the editor-in-chief for al-Nur magazine and a regular contributor and editor for various publications. He graduated in 2015, while maintaining one of the highest scores throughout his seven-year course.
He is the author of The Poetic Words of Sayyiduna Ali, Forty Ahadith and Six Points, co-author of The True Prophetic Way of Performing Taraweeh Salah and is the chief editor for the CCMT magazine, Bridging the Gap.
He is passionately involved in several other initiatives around Toronto and is regularly invited to speak at youth and community based events. Shaykh Abdullah currently teaches at Khairul Ummah Academy and Mathabah Institute while conducting online classes for Lubab Academy’s Arabic Language and Qur’an programs.
Shaykha Amna Jamil was born in Karachi, Pakistan, and grew up in Toronto, Canada. After completing high school in the Year 2009, she joined Jaamiah Qaasimul Uloom, formerly known as Ashraful Uloom, situated in Toronto to pursue their 6-year Aalimiyyah course.
During that time, Shaykha Amna studied under well-known scholars of the GTA, including Hadith under Mufti Mohammed Aslam Kachhvi, Mufti Adam Koya, and Mufti Muhammad Azam Bakhtiar, as well as Tafsir under Sheikh Aslam Uddin Azhari and Mufti Saleem Chauhan.
She graduated in the year 2015 and went on to teach at various Islamic schools in the GTA, including Madrasah Ashraful Uloom (currently known as Jaamiah Qasimul Uloom), Amanah Academy, and Madinatul Uloom Academy, and has conducted various Islamic womens and childrens’ classes from her home.
She has also completed two specialization courses in women’s masaail from Whitethread Institute and Zainab Institute.
She currently works as the Supervisor and Arabic instructor for Mishkah Institute second and third year classes.
Hafidh Abdullah Panjwani was born and raised in Malawi, Africa. Upon completing his High School in 2010, and Hifdh of the Qur’an in 2012, he embarked on an Aalimiyyah course in a major Islamic institute by the name of Darul-Uloom Zakariyyah in South Africa, and is currently pursuing Higher Islamic Sciences in Malawi at Madressah Jamia Usmaniya.
Whilst in South Africa, he studied Arabic, Qur’an, and Hadith under the tutelage of well-renowned scholars such as Mufti Muhammad Ali, Moulana Abbas Sarigat, and Shaykh Sulaiman Moola.
In 2017, during his student days at the institute, he was tasked with translating an Arabic grammar book, taught and used in many Darul-Ulooms, from Urdu to English, together with adding additional notes and simplifying any complex matters within the book.
Together with the above, he is the translator and editor of a book published under the auspices of Molana Talha Attas in Darul-Uloom Zakariyyah, by the name of ‘My Beloved Nabi Sallallahu-Alayhi-Wasallam’s Life At A Glance’.
He has also been a proofreader for other books, such as ‘Applying Sarf – Volume 1’ by Shaykh Abdullah Ayaz Mullanee.
He spends his spare time reading, exercising, and volunteering for community service groups such as Muslim Youth United; an Islamic organisation which he founded in 2014. He currently teaches for Lubab Academy’s Arabic Comprehension Program.
Shaykha Filza Jamil was raised in Canada. In 2010, Shaykha Filza started the 6-year Aalimiyyah program at the respected institute of Jaamiah Qaasimul Uloom, formerly known as Ashraful Uloom in Toronto, Canada. Shaykha Filza studied under well-known scholars of the GTA, including Hadith under Mufti Aslam Kaachwi, Mufti Adam Koya, Mufti Zakaria Panchbhaya, Mufti Muhammad Azam Bakhtiar and many more. Shaykha has also studied Tafsir under Sheikh Aslam Uddin azhari and Maulana Nadeem. She graduated in the year 2016.
She has taught in various Islamic schools in the Greater Toronto Area. She currently teaches from her home in Etobicoke, Canada, and is conducting online classes for Lubab Academy’s Arabic program.
Junaid Ali, born in 1993 in Chennai, India moved to Canada at the age of 14. With his mother’s
motivation and guidance, he completed the memorization of the Quran at the age of 18.
Junaid Ali earned his honors Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with two minor degrees in Linguistics and Professional Writing from University of Toronto. His excellent science writing distinguished him from many science writers to publish a paper in University of Toronto’s research journal called ‘Compass’. The paper is called ‘Second Language and Grey Matter Density’.
Alongside the memorization of the Quran, he pursued Arabic studies. He has always been
inspired by the beauty of the Quran and enjoyed delving deeper within it to discover its gems.
This passion led him to join Bayyinah’s Dream Program, Texas, USA and graduate among the
top of his class. He has been learning and teaching Arabic since 2012 and has taught over 1000 students around the world.
He currently serves as a Vice President and Principal for Al-Manarat High school.
He is also a Jum’ah Khateeb in local Masaajids and a Youth Activist in Toronto.
Junaid Ali aims to make Arabic the most accessible language for all the believers in the world InshAllah.
Musab Mobashir, born in Karachi, Pakistan, and was raised in Toronto, Canada. After earning his high school diploma, he pursued a degree in Computer Engineering at Ryerson University. Simultaneously, he studied the Islamic sciences under the guidance of esteemed scholars. Over the years he immersed himself in foundational texts covering Qur’anic Sciences, Hadith, Hanafi Fiqh, Usul-ul-Fiqh, Arabic Grammar, and Etymology.
He graduated from Al Khalil Academy’s as an Islamic Scholar. Today, he is a practicing Software Engineer, serves as an instructor at Al-Khalil Academy and Lubab Academy, and delivers lectures. Beyond his professional and academic commitments, he channels his passion for technology into creating content on YouTube (@Laterverse). When he’s not immersed in work, teaching, or content creation, you can find him on the ball hockey rink, where he thrives on the thrill of the game.
